Family Frenzy Package Take the family away and enjoy an accommodation package designed with families in mind. Our family rooms have 1 double and 2 single beds, with Sky TV and internet access. Package includes a cooked breakfast for the whole family, a family pass to "The Wall" climbing and a family pass for 10 Pin Bowling! Due to the activities, this package must be booked 3 days in advance. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and up to 2 children (under 14 years).

Mokoia Downs is a small country estate set in five acres of idyllic, secluded farmland. The grounds are perfect for both relaxation and recreation, and as well as the many beautiful spots where guests can wander or linger there is an abundance of space for children and teenagers to explore and play in. We have a swimming pool / outdoor entertainment area, and the grounds also contain a number of antiques which will excite the natural curiosity of children as well as adults. Each day guests have the option of taking a free guided stroll around the estate, when Teresa will talk about how the antique machinery was used by the farmers of yesteryear to provide a living and a way of life.
The lodge itself is spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable, and families have the full use of it during their stay with us. Families are able to mix with us when they wish, but can enjoy their own privacy as much as they want to. As well as TV / DVD in all the rooms, the wide range of films available can also be viewed on a larger screen with full surround sound in our cinema studio. This studio was originally built as a Dance venue, and is also a perfect indoor venue for children to play in.
One of the two B&B units is specifically for families / parties of 2-4. It is located in a private wing of the lodge with its own entrance and consists of two bedrooms, shower room and toilet, and a private deck with table and chairs. An additional bedroom with private bathroom and deck is available for larger families.

Our spacious units are all on ground level and the large one bedroom family units are at the rear of our complex. The units are fully self contained with cooking facilities, SKY TV and free internet – DVD players are available. Each unit has a large spa pool in a private courtyard off the main bedroom for all the family to enjoy, plus a barbeque area for everyone to socialise at on the balmy summer nights ahead.
We are centrally located in Fenton Street between the town centre and the thermal areas of Whakarewarewa and Te Puia. Other local attractions and activities are just a short drive away.
