If you like action adventure, you can go bungy jumping, zorbing, jet boating or mountain biking.

If you are travelling with children, Mum and Dad can have a rest too as Broekhaven is child friendly, with many toys and DVDs to keep the little people entertained. A warm welcome awaits you from the many farm animals and domestic pets. All the farm animals are friendly and you can hand feed sheep, chicken, giant rabbits, ducks, hedgehogs and the goats. Lambs can be bottle fed in spring.

Our Bed and Breakfast is located in a modest single level home, recently modernised with comfortable furniture. Your accommodation is in a quiet location close to city, lake, thermal park, shops, cafes, restaurants and many of the Rotorua's attractions and activities.

We can accommodate your family depending on the age of the children and the dynamics of the family. If your children need to sleep in the same room we can accommodate you with our cot or roll away bed. With a cot and high chair available you know that families are always welcome at Ferntree Cottage.

Mokoia Downs

Mokoia Downs is a small country estate set in five acres of idyllic, secluded farmland. The grounds are perfect for both relaxation and recreation, and as well as the many beautiful spots where guests can wander or linger there is an abundance of space for children and teenagers to explore and play in. We have a swimming pool / outdoor entertainment area, and the grounds also contain a number of antiques which will excite the natural curiosity of children as well as adults. Each day guests have the option of taking a free guided stroll around the estate, when Teresa will talk about how the antique machinery was used by the farmers of yesteryear to provide a living and a way of life.

The lodge itself is spacious, stylish and exceptionally comfortable, and families have the full use of it during their stay with us. Families are able to mix with us when they wish, but can enjoy their own privacy as much as they want to. As well as TV / DVD in all the rooms, the wide range of films available can also be viewed on a larger screen with full surround sound in our cinema studio. This studio was originally built as a Dance venue, and is also a perfect indoor venue for children to play in.
